How SportsFlow works

Team, roles, seasons and plans — no jargon.

A quick summary before you dive in.

Team, not club

SportsFlow is built per team — not per whole club with 20 teams.

  • You can be part of several teams and switch at the bottom of the navigation (team square).
  • Every team has its own roster, its own matches, its own subscription.

Permissions, not roles

Every member has their own permissions — fastest via a template: coach, goalkeeper, tracker or player. If none fits, switch single permissions on or off (video, preparation, opponents, scouting, tracking …). Who can do what is listed under Teams → Permissions.

Season

A season is your playing period, e.g. "2025/26". Matches hang off it — and so does the analysis at season's end.

The key terms

Match, observation, opponent, video, preparation, scene, tag, involved, shooter profile, play — each in one sentence with examples in the glossary.

Opponent

An opponent is its own opponent team with its own opponent roster — created from the schedule import or when you create a match, never manually from scratch. What you note about an opponent (roster, shooter profiles) is org-private: never shared, not even in the public match link. Details: Opponents.

Preparation

Every match of yours gets a preparation: set the matchday roster, link observations with their video, cut and tag scenes in the video studio, pick plays and share with the whole team. Details: Preparation.

What happens while tracking

Every time you tap something on the sideline (a shot, a turnover, a play …), SportsFlow saves:

  • What happened
  • Who it was (optional assist)
  • When in match time
  • Where on the court / in the goal (if you enter it)

Your stats grow out of that automatically — no spreadsheet afterwards.

Pairing a match

If your opponent uses SportsFlow too, you pair your match: each side only tracks its own attack, and the shots arrive with the other side as opponent shots. Details: Pair a match.

Notifications

The app lets you know when something matters to you — e.g. a shared preparation or the full-time score, plus the live score on your lock screen. Set per team in your profile. Details: Notifications.

Reading the colours

The same colour language applies everywhere in SportsFlow:

  • Green = your team, orange = the opponent. Always, in every chart.
  • The outcome of a shot is shown by its shape: filled = goal, outline = saved, faint = missed or blocked.
  • More or less is shown by shades of one team colour, not a mix of colours. Losses and negative values are grey, never red. Red is only for error messages.

Bad wifi in the hall?

No problem — SportsFlow remembers your entries and sends them up later. More on that: Offline mode
